At home wedding celebration for a destination wedding?

April 23rd, 2010 by admin | Filed under Destination Wedding.

Do you give a wedding gift for a cocktail h’dorve (cant spell) party? if so how much for $$ per couple?
Friends recently had a private destination wedding and are having a at home party to celebrate their marriage. I am unsure if i should give a gift?

No, no gift – just a nice card.
You would only give a gift if you were also invited to the ceremony.
They really should have had on the invitation “No gifts, please.”

one girft is normal. But if you already gave a gift for the shower, then no, you don’t have to. The at home part is usually so that people that didn’t make the wedding, will be able to celebrate with the bride and groom. Very popular tradition for couples who choose to have a destination wedding. If you haven’t already gotten them a gift, then I would reccomend getting them something.
