Attire for a wedding guest at a destination wedding?

I am a guest at a wedding coming up at the end of February. It’s a destination wedding to Jamaica. What is the appropriate attire for the wedding?

Depends on where they hold the wedding – on the beach, in hotel, on a boat?
Generally something comfortable yet dressy – a sundress for women, slacks and light button-down shirt for men.
When in doubt, ask the bride and groom what they suggest.
We told our guests they could wear anything they wanted, but I think a sundress is very appropriate or linen slacks or shorts and a button down shirt for guys.
Sun dress something pretty but comfortable.
