Tips on Planning a Cheap Destination Wedding

November 28th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Destination Wedding

Destination weddings are generally cheaper than traditional wedding packages. There are cheap destination wedding packages available for couples who want something different than the usual church wedding. However, you still need to put in a little more effort to keep the cost from going beyond your budget.

Failing to plan carefully could cause you to run into some mistakes that might cost you some of your wedding dollars. To avoid that, here are some tips to make your destination wedding easy on the pocket:

Book during off-peak season

The peak season for weddings is between the months of May and October. Those are the months that you should avoid to save money as vendor rates are higher at this period. Go for the off-peak marriage season. Stay away as well from major holidays like Christmas and New Year.

Avail of package deals

To find discount fees, ask the help of an experienced travel coordinator. A travel coordinator could help also you avail an all-inclusive package that covers everything from airfare to hotel stay. You may also take advantage of hotels and resorts that offer discount packages if travelers book directly for ten guests or more.

Buy local flowers

Buy seasonal flowers or flowers that are locally available at your destination. You could also reduce your expenses by purchasing flowers from a wholesale dealer in the area.

Plan your destination wedding as something that you and your spouse-to-be will remember for as long as you live. Just keep the above considerations in mind and you can make your cheap destination wedding grand and special.

Essential Tips on Planning an Exotic Destination Wedding

November 20th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Destination Wedding

A leisurely vacation! That’s what exotic destination wedding offers you, lovely wedding couple. However, since you are getting married in a far away place, it pays to take into consideration some important things.

Guest list

Remember that your guest list should be made realistically. Take into consideration the situation of the people you intend to invite. Even if they want to, some of them may not be able to travel abroad because of their work. It is also possible that some may not be able to shoulder the expenses.

So, before planning your destination wedding, talk with friends and family members whom you want to be present at your wedding. Try to come up with a plan that would make everyone satisfied. If you like, you could organize a reception in your home at a later date for the benefit of those who could not fly to your wedding.

Marriage laws

Marriage laws vary for every country. Be aware of all the required paperwork to facilitate your marriage in your chosen destination. Also, be mindful if there’s a required residency period in that country before you can get married legally.

Wedding planning

Hire a wedding coordinator who can help you not just in planning the wedding but also with any legal formalities of your chosen country. Just be sure about the coordinator’s credentials before making any arrangements.

An exotic destination wedding can be a vacation the two of you can enjoy. Just remember to plan everything carefully and do a bit of research so you could truly have a great time without any hassle.

5 Advantages of a Destination Wedding

November 12th, 2010 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Destination Wedding

Many couples do not realize this but a destination wedding is a great alternative to traditional wedding. Why? Well, here are some reasons why you should choose a destination wedding over the traditional one.

You get more value for your cash.

Surprisingly, it is cheaper to have a destination wedding than a traditional wedding. You can avail an all-inclusive destination wedding package covering everything from the plane ticket to the wedding reception. It also allows you to combine your wedding and honeymoon in one package.

You may choose the weather for your wedding.

If you prefer a cold weather, then book a winter destination package in Aspen, Colorado. You could even enjoy some skiing! If you are considering a warm weather, then sail to the Bahamas where you can frolic in the beach.

You can choose the scenery of your special day.

Enjoy looking at beach sunsets? Then consider Hawaii. A Hawaiian sunset is a great wedding backdrop, providing the right amount of romance and excitement. If you are not into beaches, then you might want to head out for Europe and get married in one of its magnificent castles.

You get to enjoy a well-deserve vacation.

If you’ve been longing for a break from work and your usual routine, then plan your wedding around your vacation so you could have your special day and your well-deserve break in one go. Since destination weddings usually come with a wedding staff that plans for everything, you get to fully enjoy the break from your busy life.

You can take your theme wedding to the next level.

If you are considering a theme wedding, say an island theme, you are probably thinking of island-themed decorations for the venue or something like that. Why not get married on an island for real? An island theme wedding in the Caribbean is way more exciting than in a local beach. Indeed, destination wedding provides your wedding with magic and realism combined.

April 23rd, 2010 by admin | 6 Comments | Filed in Destination Wedding

I’m in a destination wedding, have to be photographed. I have rosacea, and can’t tan my face. My body gets REALLY tan though. What makeup or of a spray tan would you use prior to going? I find makeup never gets dark enough or looks fake and cakey. Would spray tan be better??

Would you count your legal wedding as your anniversary date or your destination wedding date?

April 23rd, 2010 by admin | 22 Comments | Filed in Destination Wedding

We are doing the paperwork before we go down to our destination wedding. It is a lot less complicated that way.

It will be in October and our DW in December.

Which date would you consider to be your wedding anniversary date?

The day you exchange rings, say your vows, wear your dress and have your symbolic ceremony or the day you sign the papers?
