Eloping in an exotic location is very romantic, not to mention adventurous. A tropical island makes for an exotic eloping destination, but if you are not keen on going too far from the country, Lake Tahoe is the ideal place for you.

A couple of romantic nights at a bed and breakfast is also a popular choice among eloping sweethearts. Many bed and breakfast inns all over the country offer affordable elopement packages. Also, some innkeepers are legally allowed to perform marriages so there’s no need to look for wedding officiant around the area.

We are from Springfield, MO. But, I read that there is a waiting period in Missouri, and you need to apply for a liscense a month in advance. So, we were planning on going to Eureka Springs, Arkansas to get married. Can we just get in the car and go, or what do we need to do first?
