One of our favorite little hidden gems in the Prairie State is found in Sycamore, Illinois. The Chapel in the Pines offers elopement packages which includes a choice of venues: the Victorian chapel, the wedding garden or the wedding gazebo. There is a resident minister on site, but couples are welcome to invite their own officiant along to preside over their vows if they prefer. The state of Illinois has no application waiting period so often it is possible to arrange an elopement at short notice depending on availability. One of our favorite features in this particular venue is the honorary pathway leading up to the chapel entrance. For an additional fee couples can choose to memorialize their wedding with a personalized engraved brick in the path.
