As noted, one of the most popular places for an Oregon Elopement is Mount Hood, one of the most prominent mountain peaks in North America. One of the main reasons for this is the stunning views and dramatic backdrop that this volcanic peak provides. The Mount Hood Bed & Breakfast offers the ideal setting for a romantic wedding ceremony thanks to its location in the upper Hood River valley with views of not only Mount Hood, but also Mount Adams and Mount Rainier.
Alternatively, the historic Timberline Lodge offers a unique location around 6000 feet above sea level on the south face of the mountain. The lodge was built in the 1930’s and has been awarded National Historic Landmark status. What could be more romantic for an elopement in Oregon then marrying midst the glistening snow with the option of enjoying skiing or hiking during your stay if you are so inclined – otherwise you could just snuggle up by the fire!
If you are not keen on the mountain, then the city of Portland is close by and offers a range of great options for those wishing an Oregon Elopement in Portland.
