Small Wedding Packages: What to Look For

Small Wedding Packages: What to Look For

So, you’ve decided to have a small wedding? Congratulations! You have already saved yourself so much time, stress, and money! We talk to so many couples who have started planning a big wedding only to get burnt out or overwhelmed by everything. If you have seen my book, BIG Weddings SUCK! then you may already have an idea of why small weddings are becoming so much more popular! Let’s go ahead and make your wedding planning even easier with small wedding packages!

What Are Small Wedding Packages?

Small wedding packages are all-inclusive packages out together by vendors that offer everything you need to get married without the stress of working with multiple vendors. If you choose the right package, you essentially just need to book it and turn up with a marriage license. Everything else is taken care of for you! Of course, if that doesn’t appeal to you and you want more input, you can opt for one of the more basic small wedding packages and add your own extras as required. One vendor with a great example of the varying packages you might find is Prescott Pines Inn in Arizona, who provide everything from a basic ceremony package that comes in under $500, to their Grande package which includes accommodation, breakfast, flowers, and more!

What to Look For When Choosing a Small Wedding Package

When you are searching for the right small wedding package to suit you, it helps if you know what to look for. Here are a few tips on narrowing down the best option for your special day:

  1. Decide on a budget you can afford as this will help narrow down your search.
  2. If you will be getting married out of town, look for a package that includes accommodation for one or two nights.
  3. Make a list of your top 3 ‘wants’ and look for vendors who include these in packages. For example photography, a toast, flowers, or a keepsake.
  4. Look at different days, many vendors offer discounts on weekdays!
  5. Check if a celebrant is included in the price.

Are you planning a small wedding? We would love to hear if you are using a small wedding package, or organizing everything yourself.
