Want a Fabulous Wedding? Consider Eloping
Let’s Talk About The Money
Here at WhereToElope.com, we make no secret of the fact that most couples elope to save money. An all-inclusive elopement package has an average price tag of $1,000-$2,500 meaning couples save over 90% on the average cost of a traditional wedding. The important word there is ‘all-inclusive’! That doesn’t sound like settling, it sounds like getting more for your money! When you elope, your money goes further. With just the two of you – or even a handful of guests – everything becomes less expensive. When you are not paying for a $100++ a head for 100 people, you can afford to splash out on a designer wedding gown or an extravagant wedding cake if those are the details you feel make a fabulous wedding.
What Really Makes a Fabulous Wedding?
One thing to consider is what it is that makes for a fabulous wedding. The answer may be different for everyone. However, we recently read an article in the New York Times which really struck a chord with us. It tells the story of an eloping couple named Amy & Rich Jones who eloped to Costa Rica. Amy is quoted as saying, ‘The best parts of any wedding are the ones you can’t plan.’ If anyone knows this to be true then it is Amy, since she is actually a wedding planner herself with Amy Champagne Events. We love her story of jumping in the ocean in her wedding dress after the ceremony and then enjoying their first dance alone in their hotel room as they dripped dry!
This is a perfect example of how eloping can make your wedding day all about you! If you ask us, that is all you really need for a fabulous wedding!
