How to Elope to Mississippi

If you are going to elope to Mississippi, then you need to be aware that there is a 3 day application waiting period when you apply for your marriage license. However, once you have obtained the license you can marry immediately although the license is valid for 90 days. There is no longer a legal requirement to have a blood test performed (as of July 1, 2012). In order to marry without parental consent, both parties must be over the age of 21 years at the time of application.
