Our WhereToElope.com readers have let their mouses tell us where they think the best places to elope are. Now that we have calculated the votes we wanted to share our 2015 Top 15 Best Places To Elope along with a few of the elopement vendors who serve those particular areas. The 2015 Winners are:
1 – California
At the top of the list is The Golden State itself, California. When you look at the beautiful sunny climate and the perfect mix of beaches and mountain locations it is actually easy to see why so many of our couples choose California elopements. If you are thinking of following suit, then some of the local vendors whom we highly recommend include a garden elopement at the beautiful Hastings House in Half Moon Bay or the romantic Eden Vale Inn.
2 – Texas
It came as no surprise to us that The Lone Star State came so high in the list of Best Places to Elope. Many of our Texas based vendors were among the 2015 winners of ‘The Best of Where to Elope Awards’. Two of those winners are the Acorn Bed & Breakfast in Boerne and Blisswood Ranch in Cat Springs.
3 – Florida
The beautiful weather in Florida makes it another popular choice with our couples. We love Fairbanks House on Amelia Island which features a beautiful butterfly garden. This is such a romantic spot that it could have been made just for eloping!

Many couples told us that they simply had a fantasy of getting married on a beach somewhere. The good news is that there are plenty of opportunities for beach elopements all over the USA. 5 – North Carolina
North Carolina is a popular spot for elopements and we think it could be to do with the variety of unique elopement venues that it has to offer. CW Worth House in Wilmington gives you the chance to tie the knot in a historical setting thanks to the Victorian design of this 121 year old house. What we absolutely adore about Castle Ladyhawke (CLOSED) is that it has been designed to authentically recreate a Scottish castle and medieval style village. What a beautiful place to elope to, don’t you agree?
6 – Colorado
Another of the popular spots that came up during the survey was Colorado. This is the state that really has a little of everything. We love Castle Marne Bed & Breakfast in Denver. We highly recommend celebration your marriage with dinner in the private Peacock Dining Room.
7 – Georgia
The state of Georgia is dotted with romantic little inns and bed & breakfasts that are perfect for eloping to. One of our favorites is Foley House Inn, Savannah which is right in the heart of the historic district.
8 – Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania is among the top 5 vacation destinations in the United States, so it comes as no surprise that the state also features in the top ten best places to elope. With 54,000 miles of rivers and a staggering 116 state parks the Keystone State is the ideal place to elope. Blair Mountain B&B offers a stunning country setting for your Pennsylvania elopement. 9 – Mountain Destinations
Lots of our visitors wanted to have their wedding between ski runs, hikes, white water rafting trips or mountain biking rides so they chose a mountain elopement destination. There are plenty of great spots in the Rockies, Appalachians, Poconos and other Mountain Ranges all across the USA and Canada that are perfect for those who love nature and the great outdoors. Don’t forget that California also has more than just sandy beaches. 10 – Tennessee
Tennessee elopements can offer a healthy dollop of good old fashioned Southern charm for your big day. Butterfly Hollow is a beautiful and intimate venue for your ceremony ans it is nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains.
11 – Washington State
Eloping to Washington State will help you to making your wedding very memorable, especially if you are outdoorsy types! There are plenty of hiking trails and national parks to enjoy all over the state. One of our favorite elopement spots is on the San Juan Islands. 12 – Virginia

We were so pleased to see beautiful Ohio make the list, because it is another state that often gets pushed aside. 15 – South Carolina
When it comes to South Carolina, it is mostly known for places like Charleston or Spring Break favorite Myrtle Beach.
