Meet Our Sweepstakes Grand Prize Winners

Over the summer we have been drawing monthly sweepstakes contest winners as we built up to picking our grand prize winners in September who won a complete Colorado elopement package. We are delighted to be able to announce our Grand Prize winners, so let”s go ahead and meet them.

Meet the Grand Prize Winners

On September 10th the time came to draw our grand prize sweepstakes winners. As shown on our Prizes page, one lucky couple were to receive the ultimate Colorado elopement package worth almost $2,000. The package included a ceremony, officiant, lodging, photographer, limo, cake, flowers, wedding night dinner for two and breakfast in bed. The venue, lodging and food were provided by Sundance Mountain Lodge in Monument, Colorado where the ceremony was presided over by wedding officiant Rev. Barbara J. Butler. Flowers were provided by Secret Window Floral while Child’s Bakery contributed the wedding cake. The couple also took advantage of a photo shoot by Jordan Matthews at In a Dream Photography and a gift certificate for limo service from A Touch of Class Limousine. The prize also included a gift certificate for a wedding keepsake photo on slate from Sports & Entertainment Marketing Group and 4 hours of professional elopement consulting from the wedding planners at Elope-To-Colorado.com.

So, who were the lucky winners of this fantastic elopement package? Drum roll please…

Our congratulations go to Toya and Ashley from Denver, Colorado. The couple have already taken advantage of their prize and decided to tie the knot in a lovely intimate ceremony in the Black Forest just north of the Sundance Mountain Lodge on Saturday September 28th, 2013 which I was lucky enough to be invited to attend.  Immediately after the wedding they returned to the Sundance Mountain Lodge for the wedding picture session  with Jordan and started sharing their lives together as husband and wife.

For Toya and Ashley it was very much a case of love at first sight. “About two and half years ago I walked into the front office of the school I work at and saw a pair of blue eyes. At that moment I knew I was going to marry this man, although I had no clue who he was or why he was in my building, but I KNEW. I soon found out that he was going to be at my school everyday. It did not take long for him to figure it out as well,” said Toya.

The couple are no strangers to prize winning. Toya revealed how Ashley is always entering contests to win prizes that they can enjoy together including the Where To Elope sweepstakes! “I have smiled more, laughed harder and loved deeper than ever before now that Ashley is in my life. He is my forever. He takes care of me so well in so many ways, but the most fun and exciting way is the fact that he is constantly entering contests to win us things. We have won glasses of wine, desserts, meals, movie tickets, concert tickets and even a weekend to Telluride this past summer. It is so fitting that he would win us a wedding! It is the perfect way for us to walk into this new chapter of our lives together, by winning a contest,” said Toya.
