What is a Pop-Up Wedding?

What is a Pop-Up Wedding?

There’s a new word in town for an elopement; pop-up wedding or Flash Wedding. It has its own twist on the wonderful world of elopement. Pop-up weddings come in different styles, and there will be more variations to come. At WhereToElope.com we are always excited about additions to the world of elopements. Let’s take a look at the newest member of the elopement family, the Pop-Up Wedding or Flash Wedding.

Pop-Up Wedding for the Planners

In the past few years, pop-up weddings have been the new trend. Choosing your own location with no concern for the passerby or strangers cheering you on as you exchange vows. Quick is a word to describe a popup wedding 15 minutes to one-half hour. Some vendors provide space of their own, decorated in various themes throughout the year, and then schedule multiple weddings back to back on the same day. As a result, reservations are required. Additionally, some vendors offer pop-up wedding events and are also creating portable pop-up venues so that they can meet the couple at your chosen location.

Flash Wedding

More associated with stealth weddings, the possibility of being kicked out of your chosen location runs higher when you don’t ask permission. This type of elopement stands up to the Social Media name of FLASH in and out in 10-15 minutes. Literally standing room only, no chairs, few friends, the décor is the surroundings, except the possible bouquet held by the bride. Adventuresome couples are more prone to choose the Flash elopement.

Photos and more!

Photos are important to couples who elope. After all it’s the photos we enjoy for years to come. Popup vendors stay true to their own genre of elopement: quick, low frill, Officiant and Photographer, only what is necessary. Popup vendors will connect eloping couples to great places to find attire, flowers, cake, and or a place to celebrate.

WhereToElope.com connects eloping couples with elopement and Pop-Up Wedding vendors. So, go to our Packages page and use the Search Elopement Packages function to find vendors offering Pop-Up Weddings from North Carolina to Hawaii and many places in between. Or hover over Packages on the top menu and click on Ceremony to find an Officiant to help you create your own pop-up wedding. Or hover over  Places at the top of this page and find a vendor for the destination elopement wedding of your choice. What is a pop-up wedding? Another way to elope!
