If it is not something you have considered before, then you may find yourself asking why elope? The truth is, there are many excellent reasons to elope but we wanted to share our top 5 with you! It’s no secret – we more or less shout it from the rooftops at every opportunity: we think that eloping is great! However, we understand that not everyone is quite so convinced! Gone are the days when eloping was only something you did if your family opposed your marriage or you had to marry quickly due to falling pregnant outside of wedlock! Times have changed and so has elopement.

One of the most common answers couples give when we ask ‘why elope?’ is to avoid family drama. Every family has its problems and it is likely you have aunts and uncles who won’t be in the same room or a cousin who will feel slighted that you didn’t ask her to be a bridesmaid.
