Where To Elope September Round Up

It’s been another busy month here at WhereToElope.com with lots of great elopement advice and hot topics up for discussion. Just in case you missed it here is a Where To Elope September round up of what we have been talking about this past month.

Eloping to Paradise

Maybe it is because summer is ending, but it seems like there has been a slight beach elopement theme happening this month. Our feature on Eloping to Maui focused on planning an intimate island wedding, complete with traditional Hawaiian priests, while in our spotlight on Anse Chastanet, St. Lucia we looked at escaping to the Caribbean for a romantic wedding in paradise. We found that even some unexpected destinations like Savannah,GA were able to offer beach elopements with ceremonies on Georgia’s Tybee Island combing the beach with a dash of good old southern charm!

Marry Me In The Mountains

It wasn’t all sand and sea though, we also covered plenty of mountain locations that were ideal for couples looking to elope to a more rugged location. Some of the states we highlighted this month included the flexibility of eloping to Oregon, the Wilderness call of eloping in Idaho and the majestic mountain elopements in Montana. We even had time to check out Arizona and its Grand Canyon!

Eloping isn’t all about the location, and we found plenty of other interesting topics to explore throughout September. Our two part series on the misconceptions about eloping gave us the opportunity to bust some of the myths which may be making couples think twice about choosing elopement. We also looked at choosing the special date 11.12.13 as your wedding date and highlighted some of the special elopement packages on offer across the United States.

At the start of September, music superstar Kelly Clarkson announced that she was cancelling her wedding in favor of an elopement with just her fiancé and his kids. That got us thinking about other celebrity couples who have eloped and we were keen to suggest some options for those looking to follow in the footsteps of these stars with our Celebrity Elopement Guide.

Eloping Couples Deserve Gifts Too!

One of our favorite topics this month revolved around the etiquette for gift registries when having an elopement. We definitely decided that eloping couples deserve gifts just as much as any other couple, after all your friends will still want to congratulate you!
